A virtual consultation is required before scheduling your microlocs installation. During this Zoom session, we will review pricing, availability, and your hair goals. Please ensure your hair is shown in its natural state for an accurate assessment.

1. What’s the difference between Microlocs and Sisterlocks?

Microlocs and Sisterlocks differ in size, cost, and installation method.
Sisterlocks is trademarked and uses a specific grid and interlocking technique to start the foundation. It is more intricate than Microlocs and requires taking the official Sisterlocks training course. The cost varies depending on the technique, and installation usually takes longer.

Microlocs do not follow a strict grid and can be started with twists or braids. Pricing varies and they are generally more affordable than Sisterlocks.

2. When do your bookings open?

My schedule opens on the 1st of every month. It opens the current month for the following month.
If you check after the 15th and nothing is available, it means I am fully booked.

3. How long does an install take?

An install can take 12–30 hours (spread over 2 days). Timing depends on:
• Method used
• Hair length
• Head size
• Hair density

Microlocs usually take 2 days.
A specific time frame is given during the consultation.

4. Is a consultation required to book?

YES — a consultation is required before booking any loc installation or transfer-maintenance appointment.
During the consultation, we will discuss:
• Your hair texture and best installation method
• The process
• Aftercare
• Pricing
• Time frame
• Tester locs

5. Are you accepting transfer clients for retightenings?

Currently YES

6. Are you accepting new clients?

Currently YES

7. What’s the process for out-of-state clients?

Out-of-state clients may book a virtual consultation only, and only for new installations (no maintenance services are available for out-of-state clients).

After the virtual consultation, you may schedule your installation if accepted.
